  5. Division 4 – Junior Elite

Primary Goal

Ages 12–17 // Levels 6–7

Develop the complete athlete and prepare the rider for adult competition.

This is where NextGen becomes significantly more intentional.

The rider is no longer simply participating.

They’re beginning to train as an athlete.

Academic Responsibility

Racing doesn’t excuse poor academic performance.

We teach:

Student first. Athlete second.

Riders learn time management between:

School + Training + Racing + Family + Recovery

Communication

Riders learn how to:

  • Speak with coaches

  • Handle interviews
  • Represent the team

Mental Performance

Training includes:

  • Visualization
  • Pre-race routines

Rider Leadership Requirement

Every Junior Elite rider should eventually be able to explain:

“Here’s what I’m doing, why I’m doing it, and what I’m trying to improve.”

That is the transition from being coached to becoming coachable.
