Parents should be enthusiastic—but controlled.

Cheer for:

  • Good lines
  • Effort
  • Determination
  • Safe riding
  • Teammates
  • Positive competition

Avoid screaming technical instructions.

The rider may not hear you.

If they do hear you, your instruction may conflict with the coach’s plan or distract them.

Instead of:

“BRAKE!”

Try:

“Let’s go!”

“You’ve got this!”

“Stay focused!”

“Ride smart!”
