Primary Goal

Ages 7-11 // Level 3-4

Build fundamentals, discipline, confidence, and independence.

The rider begins transitioning from “learning to ride” to learning to race.

Success Looks Like

The rider becomes increasingly independent.

Instead of: “Dad, where’s my helmet?”

we want: “I checked my gear and I’m ready.”

Personal Development

Responsibility

The rider begins taking ownership of:

  • Gear
  • Water
  • Equipment
  • Race preparation
  • Personal schedule

Discipline

The rider learns:

You don’t have to feel like doing something to do it well.

Simple routines begin:

Prepare → Practice → Compete → Reflect

 

Sportsmanship

Riders learn:

  • Respect competitors
  • Help a fallen rider
  • Shake hands
  • Accept decisions
  • Never celebrate another rider’s mistake

Coaches focus on

Racer Development

Training begins to include:

  • Consistent cornering
  • Braking points
  • Acceleration
  • Lines
  • Starts
  • Passing
  • Defensive riding
  • Terrain recognition
  • Basic race strategy
  • Race starts
  • Maintaining concentration

Coaches focus on

Intro to Fitness

Age-appropriate:

  • Mobility
  • Balance
  • Coordination
  • Core strength
  • Cardiovascular activity
  • Hydration
  • Nutrition basics

No extreme training or weight cutting.
